Tattoos - Military tattoos often have a strong symbolic meaning to them.
Often times there are superstitions or beliefs that go along with the tattoo
design itself. Many warriors cultures in the past believed that certain
symbols could protect them or give the certain powers when tattooed on their
skin in the proper way. Tattoos became very popular with the sailors of the
British Navy in the 19th century and the tradition has continued with
military tattoos ever since.
