Birds have been a popular choice for tattoos
for a long time. A tattoo of a bird, depending on type, color, and position can
represent many different moods, ideas, and characteristics. Nearly every culture
known to man has its own set of stories and myths where birds play a key part.
In Native American cultures the raven is seen as a sacred good bird but in
Christianity the raven represents evil. A bird in flight can symbolize the
afterlife, beauty, transformation, and hope.
